The Buck Selkirk is a beautiful survival knife with an extremely graceful micarta handle. The blade on the Buck Selkirk is made from 420HC steel. This type of steel is easy to sharpen and is stainless. The Selkirk can be used for the more demanding outdoor tasks. This knife comes with a plastic sheath and firesteel. The handle has been enhanced with a practical whistle. You can use this knife for hunting and survival purposes.

Couteau magnifique. 
La finition est remarquable. Il bien lourd et de super qualité
Le revêtement du manche est un peu lisse et parait un poil trop plastifié mais a patine le rendra à coup sur plus root. 
A ce prix là, bravo!

Nogal prijzig, maar bij ontvangst begrijp ik wel waarom. Dit is een zeer stevig mes met metaal van hoge kwaliteit. Vlijmschep met een stevig handvat. De eerste vraag die ik me stel, wanneer ga ik hiermee in mijn vingers snijden.

Ein durchaus schönes Messer. Liegt gut und schwer in der Hand. Der Schwerpunkt liegt aufgrund des full-tang und des massiven Knaufs jedoch im Griff. Beim Hacken arbeitet man also zum Großteil aus der eigenen Kraft, statt mit dem Gewicht des Messers.
Verarbeitung: Sehr gut. Messer kommt mit einer guten Grundschärfe. Die Micarta Griffschalen sitzen lückenlos und sehen wirklich gut aus. Für die Preisklasse gibt es wirklich nichts auszusetzen.
Performance: Subjektiv bisher gut. Hacken, schnitzen, feather Sticks klappt prima. Und aufgrund der sehr massiven Klinge sollte auch Batonen kein Problem darstellen.
Zubehör: Die Kydex Scheide umschließt das Messer wunderbar und das Messer rastet gut ein. Teilweise schabt der Fingerschutz an der Scheide, so dass dort mit der Zeit etwas Abrieb entsteht. Nichts, was dem Messer oder der Scheide aber schadet.
Die Gürtelschlaufe lässt sich individuell an die Scheide anschrauben, wodurch verschiedene Tragehöhen eingestellt werden können bzw. das Messer horizontal oder vertikal am Gürtel getragen werden kann.
Der zusätzliche Feuerstahl mit Pfeife rundet das Paket als Survival Messer ab und erfüllt sicherlich seinen Zweck. Die Halterung für den Feuerstahl lässt sich aber auch demontieren, für alle, die es stört oder die lieber einen separaten Feuerstahl bei sich tragen.

Fazit: Für den Preis von 70-80€ (je nach Rabatt) bekommt man ein sehr solides und gut verarbeitetes Outdoor Messer mit einer schönen Optik. 

Bonne lame, de facture soignée. 
Le tranchant est rasoir d’usine.
Lame équilibrée et bonne prise en main. Un manche 1cm plus long aurait été top compte tenu de mes mains de géants, mais ce n’est qu’une question d’adaptation.
Le firesteel est anecdotique. Parfaitement fonctionnel mais trop fin pour servir à autre chose qu’une situation d’urgence. 
Le fourreau dispose d’une excellente rétention, impossible de perdre la lame par accident.
