Lightweight, sturdy and functional; the minimalistic design of this hunting knife, makes it a fixed knife that you can always carry with you. Thanks to the milled metal and lack of handles, the weight is very low. The knives from the Buck Paklite series are often used as back-up hunting knives, but of course, they perform great as well as a primary hunting knife.   
  


The entire knife is made of 420HC steel. It has ridges in the right places, to provide amazing grip for a knife without scales. If you are looking for more grip, you can easily make your own handle with 550 paracord. This increases grip and comfort. And as a bonus, the knife is adjusted to your own taste!   
  


The blade has a hollow ground edge and is very suitable for the precision jobs for which a hunter needs it. The Large version of the Paklite is still light and small enough to always carry with you. But you will feel that you can exercise a lot more force with it than you could with the smaller versions.

Dieses Messer soll ein Weihnachtsgeschenk sein, weil ich mir vor 3 Jahren das Buck "PakLite Skinner 0140SSS-B" hier gekauft habe und keinerlei Probleme mit dem Messer hatte/habe, bzw. von der Qualität überzeugt bin, was vorallem dem 420 HC Stahl - und der guten Verarbeitung zu verdanken ist. Das Skinner Large ist, wie es schon der Name sagt, eine größere Skinnervariante aus dieser Serie von Buck. Persönlich spricht es mich ebenfalls an, ist aber als EDC Messer etwas schwieriger in der Hosentasche zu tragen. Nicht problematisch, aber ich liebe es eher dezent. Die Klinge selbst ist etwas weniger geschwungen als die kleine Variante, was ggf. für einige Leute beim Nachschärfen unkomplizierter sein mag. Beide Modelle sind gleichwertig gut verarbeitet und das Large kam mit der gewohnten Werksschärfe, die keine Bearbeitung benötigt und einem lange erhalten bleibt, sofern man sein Messer nicht missbraucht, Es liegt gut in der Hand und mag die willkommene Alternative sein, wenn einem das Buck "Paklite Skinner 0140SSS-B" zu klein ist. Beide Messer sind als EDC geeignet, lediglich die Größe muss jeder selbst für sich entscheiden. Auch dieses Messer ist made in USA, was ich angesichts des Preises sehr gut finde (gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis)!
