The **Buck 55** is a practical and compact pocket knife. It is called the '55' because it is exactly half the size of the famous Buck 110. It resembles its big brother in almost everything. Clippoint 420HC blade, nail nick to open it and a solid backlock to lock the blade when opened. The handle is also made from brass, the inlay, however, is made from American walnut wood. That is the only large difference in addition to the size.

Vorab vielen Dank an den hervorragenden Kundenservice von knivesandtools für die Zusendung eines perfekten Messers.
Das erhaltene Buck 055 ist in einem perfekten Zustand.
Klinge: Perfekte Schneidphase auf beiden Seiten. Kein Klingenspiel.
Messerrücken: Absolut passgenaue Feder, perfekt geschliffen.
Bolster: Beide Seiten des Messers vollkommen identisch.
Griffschalen: Perfektes Ebenholz, beide Seiten vollkommen identisch.
Ein Traum von einem Messer.

Das Messer wurde superschnell geliefert. Das Buck ist wirklich super verarbeitet. Mittiger Klingenstand, sehr scharf geschliffene Schneide, Rückenfeder absolut plan bei  zusammengeklappter oder aufgeklappter Klinge. Sehr schöne Holzschalen und spielfreie Klinge. Ein kleines „immer dabei Messer“. Klare Kaufempfehlung. 

40 jaar geleden stond Buck al bekend als een mes dat scherp is en blijft.
Dat is de reden dat ik hem nu toch een keer wilde ervaren,
maar voor een zakmesje met een snijvlak van 5 centimeter is 68 euro best veel geld.
40 jaar geleden vond ik 200 gulden voor een Buck zakmes (van groter formaat) te veel.
Dat het bedrijf na zoveel jaren nog bestaat, is een teken dat ze echte kwaliteit produceren.

Mooi mesje, alleen was het lemmet niet helemaal gelijk geslepen. Aan een kant bij de punt een hele ongelijke slijping met zeker 5 graden verschil met de andere kant. Dit zie je vaker bij Buck messen. Ik heb hem een eerste slijping gegeven, 420 HC, super makkelijk om te slijpen, maar de punt zal pas gelijk zijn na een aantal keren slijpen. Als ik dit in een slijpbeurt zou willen weghalen moet ik te veel staal weghalen voor mij smaak. Toch geen reden om hem terug te sturen, de afwerking van het handvat is goed en de backlock is bij mijn exemplaar super sterk.

Dieses Messer ist wie ich es von Buck kenne, absolut hervorragend verarbeitet.
