The Edge Pro polishing tape is used during the last step of the sharpening process to polish the edge of your knife. The tape is attached to the special aluminium or ultra-flat glass mounting plates. You can continue to use the tapes as long as they function. Even is you accidentally damage thee take with you (sharp!) knife they can often still be used. 

**Grain size of the Edge Pro sharpening stones** The sharpening stones from the Edge Pro Sharpening system appear to be very coarse when compared to the Japanese sharpening stones. It is because multiple scales are used for the grain size of sharpening stones. An Edge Pro grain 400 is comparable to a 700 grit Japanese sharpening stone. And a 1000 grain from Edge Pro can be compared to a 2700 grit Japanese stone. When you keep in mind that you can polish with tapes with an Edge Pro grain 6000 you will understand that the sharpness you can achieve is unparalleled. It is, however, still guesswork to know what the exact similarities are. The Edge Pro stones are finer than you might initially think. Below an overview of the information we have gathered so far:

Voldoet aan verwachting en levert goed resultaat. De films zijn wel erg dun en kwetsbaar. Persoonlijk vind ik de micronfilms van wickededge beter.

Als combi deal meebesteld met de Edge Pro Apex 4. Is dit nodig? Nee, maar het maakt de set wel helemaal compleet en een mirror edge is nu ook echt een mirror edge. Zie het een beetje als Latte Art, de cappucino smaakt er niet beter door maar oogt wel een stuk fraaier en tenslotte wilt het oog ook wat.
