The **Fällkniven F1** is a top-quality survival knife, specifically designed for pilots from the Swedish air force. It took 8 years to develop this model. The result of many tests and changing the design is an advanced, well thought-out and safe knife which combines strength with a modern design. The Fällkniven F1 is versatile and can be used while hunting, camping or during trekking or survival adventures.

The blade is made from a core of VG10 steel laminated in between two layers of softer steel. As such the F1 retains its sharpness well, while at the same time it is a lot tougher than with a mono-steel construction.

The edge of the Fällkniven F1 is enhanced with a convex grind. This means that the blade is curved towards the edge. The result is an incredibly strong and sharp edge. To maintain this edge we recommend stropping it in time.

The handle is made from Thermorun. This is a rubber-like plastic that offers you enough grip. The fact that Fällkniven took the arctic climate of Sweden into account is clear when you look at the construction of the handle. The tang of the blade, the steel part that is located in the handle, is wrapped in Thermorun. As a result your hands won't freeze to the knife in very low temperatures. Even in the heat this works well because your hands won't burn if the knife was left in the sun for a while. So very well thought-out.

The Fällkniven F1 is one of the most popular outdoor knives ever. Its versatility, production quality and practical size make sure this knife can come in handy everywhere. This version with CoS-steel is even better.

Das F1 liegt gut in der Hand, ist schnittig und kam auch in einem radellosen Zustand an. Lediglich die Lederscheide riecht recht unangenehm und streng. Trägt man alles am Gürtel, fällt der Geruch nicht weiter auf. Empfehlenswerter Kauf! Ebenso bin ich vom Verkäufer her begeistert.  LG Rad

Het mes is door de grootte niet bedreigend en/of imponerend. Je kan er mee aan de slag zonder dat mensen je raar aankijken. Ik heb de variant met de lederen houder, waardoor het nog minder opvalt. De kenner zal echter direct opmerken dat het mes iets speciaals is. De gewichtsverdeling is perfect en het mes is vlijmscherp. Door de greep ligt het goed in de hand en voelt niet "lomp en onbenullig" aan. Echt een aanrader voor alledaags gebruik.

Heel mooi, solide, no-nonsense, met leren schede, I love it!

Zeer handig mes, mijn eerste convex-lemmet. Zowel werken in het hout als ontweiden van een ree zijn meevallers.

Wat valt er te zeggen over dit mes........ bijna een icoon onder de compacte vaste messen.verassend  eenvoudig  en mogelijkheid voor verschillende schedels. Lederen schede zorgt ervoor dat je mes volledig beschermd is, maar zorgt wel dat het er groter uitziet aan de riem.de nylon schede ziet er wat goedkoop uit maar zorgt wel voor een compact geheel en doet zijn werk ook zoals het hoort.
Best wel eens oefenen om te slijpen, makkelijkste manier is om een fijn stukje watervast schuurpapier op een computermuismat te kleven en zo te slijpen, dan volg je mooi de vorm van je mes.
