The **Fällkniven R2 Scout** is a compact fixed knife, made for the outdoors. It could be seen as the little brother of the famous Fällkniven F1. But that's actually doing it a disservice. 

Sure, Fällkniven has reduced the length of the R2 Scout, but there has been no skimping on the blade thickness and sturdiness. In fact, Fällkniven has even reinforced the tip so it's even stronger. 

The Fällkniven R2 Scout is designed for people with smaller hands, such as women and children. But that doesn't mean the R2 is a 'ladies knife'. It is simply designed for anyone who likes to carry a more compact knife without compromising on quality.

The blade is made from Swedish Elmax steel. This steel is tough, easy to sharpen, and has extremely good sharpness retention. Naturally, this knife features Fällkniven’s famous convex grind. Can be used all-round, for woodworking and hunting as well as survival and food preparation.

The handle is on the short side, but can also be used by large hands. The total length of the handle is 10.2 cm. But because it's quite thick, you still have enough 'filling' in your hand to use it comfortably.

The Fällkniven R2 Scout comes with a strong Zytel sheath. You can easily rinse it under the tap or in a stream. To prevent the knife from rattling in the sheath, or even falling out, there is a lock that keeps the knife in place.

Les démentions sont parfaites , une prise en main juste excellente , robustesse et qualité de l'Elmax . à quand  des plaquettes en Micarta G10 ou Carbonne et on aurais la perfection à mon humble avis

it would not work sending a new knife, you would only repeat your mistakes. What's good with this knife is its overall good qualities and that it can be repaired to a very good condition at a very small fee.

The R2 Scout Knife has been on the market since 2020 or for five years. The knife and the steel is extremely well tested by many skilled and experienced users, if anything was wrong with the design, the steel or handle, we had known and adjusted that long ago. 
Your knife is the first we see in such bad condition so, it seems like you have exposed the knife to much too much abuse. And abuse is not covered by our ten year warranty.

We have supplied you with all possible information about how to handle this case and so we hope that you will consider our advice.
