This **Lion Sabatier Idéal chef's knife** is great for many different cutting tasks. You use it when cutting vegetables, meat and fish, but also when, for instance, chopping herbs, crushing pepper corns or peeling a clove of garlic. This Lion Sabatier Idéal knife has a relatively short blade compared to the other chef's knife from our range. The advantage of a short blade is that you have more control over your work.

This chef's knife is a part of the [Lion Sabatier Idéal collection](/en/ct/lion-sabatier-ideal-inox-knives.htm). The blade is made from French N4116 Nitro+ steel. A great stainless type of steel that is easy to sharpen. The knife is made from a single piece of steel that extends completely into the handle. As such the balance is excellent. The bolster extends to the heel of the blade. It will make you feel safe. After all, you do not come into direct contact with the blade.

The handle is made from a sustainable plastic named POM. The handle seamlessly fits with the bolsters and is kept in place by brass rivets. Because of this seamless fit and the sustainable material you can easily clean the blade. The combination of materials is also a perfect fit for the traditional design of the knife.

Très bon couteau, bonne coupe. Manche légèrement fin pour de grosses mains.

Bis auf den etwas asymmetrischen Anschliff ein tolles Messer, das super in der Hand liegt.

This knife is elegant to look at and a dream to use. It cuts through tough root vegetables like butter. It is French-made and well worth the money. The price I paid was very reasonable for such a good quality knife.

Geweldig mes. Ik had eerst messen besteld (bij een andere firma)... van Diamand Sabatier maar ik ben met dit mes van Lion Sabatier veel tevredener. Ik heb weer het mes in handen waar ik vroeger mee heb leren snijden, dat geeft een goed gevoel en het is goede kwaliteit. Ook met alle informatie die ik vooraf via e-mail kreeg en de snelle levering (en nette verpakking) ben ik super tevreden.
