A small sturdy knife which is too bulky to actually wear as a neck knife, it quickly begins to annoy you wearing it like that and even tucking it away under a jacket doesn't help much. Mine is now secured to the side of my back pack where it's easily accessible

When the Eldris was first announced I was very keen to get my hands on one. However, in the time it took to appear in the UK market, I had time to reflect and the pricing point concerned me when compared to the excellent Companion knife. So I resisted and read lots of other people's reviews. My concerns were frequently echoed. The knife generally found favour but not the price. When I saw the product offered here at a lower price I decided to take the plunge. I opted for the knife and sheath option, without the lanyard and fire striker. I do not like wearing knives around my neck and had spare strikers, so was content with this choice. The knife is a nice product. Very grippy handle which fits my hands well. The blade is very useful for most tasks (I carry it with either an axe or larger fixed blade, depending on what I'm doing) and the blade is sharp from the box and has retained an edge well. I fish and hunt as well as enjoying many outdoor / country pursuits and am never without a knife of some description. I can see this being a favourite due to its handy size which is unobtrusive in a pocket or rucksack. My initial concerns over price remain but I can appreciate how the complex grind and superior steel make it impossible to compare with a Companion for price. I hope with greater volume of sales, Mora will be able to sell it for around the £20 mark though.
