The **Mora Pathfinder 12355** is the big brother of the popular Mora Bushcraft survival knife. This is a heavier fixed blade made from carbon steel. Yet the weight of the Pathfinder is not so bad. With 170 grams, it is certainly not a heavy knife given its dimensions. Long treks are no problem. The blade has a black coating to protect the carbon steel. That it looks amazing is a nice bonus! The back of the blade is great in combination with a firestarter, or for scraping birch bark to generate tinder.

 The Pathfinder comes with a sheath made from a heavy quality nylon. It is MOLLE-compatible and has a plastic insert to protect the nylon.

Grand couteau mora très bonne prise en main excellent tranchant scandinave tout est au rendez-vous pour être parfait à part l'étui pas à la hauteur..

Het mes heeft een fijne lengte om houtblokken voor de smoker of haard te kloven. Uiteraard gaan de dikkere stukken voor de bijl, maar als het een scheef of een wat smaller stuk hout is werkt dit prima om te batoneren. Er is al eiken mee gespleten, dus over de sterkte niks dan goeds. En uiteraard mag een lovend woord over KATO niet ontbreken. Zoals altijd, top service.

Das Messer als solches erfüllt voll und ganz meine Anforderungen, einzig die Scheide ist etwas unschön erfüllt aber voll und ganz ihren Zweck. Der Klingenlänge geschuldet wird es nur auf meinem Grundstück "geführt" werden und ansonsten im Rucksack mit auf Wanderschaft gehen. Arbeiten kann man sehr gut mit dem Teil und der Griff ist sicher zu halten, auch Hacken klappt gut zum Holzspalten benutze ich eine Axt obwohl ich denke, dass es in Maßen auch zum battoning taugt. Die Qualität hat mich bisher nicht enttäuscht, nach schärfen musste ich noch nicht immer noch scharf wie eine Rasierklinge.
