After getting the worktop messy for so many years I finally took the plunge, yes you can make do without it but if you are going to sharpen knives then it's something that will improve your quality of life and will last a long time

Had to shorten the slide adjuster by 3 inches with a hacksaw but only as we have a small sink. Does the job and is well made.

It's a very well made whetstone holder very quick to set up and pleasure to use and very easy to clean after use I have also no hesitation recommending knives and tools to friends As the service is always exceptional and customer service is very good
