With out doubt these knives are truly great at keeping an edge on them. I have had one in my pocket for about 15 years, and for the cost I think they’re an awesome bit of kit. My Sheffield carbon steel knife which cost £65, doesn’t keep the edge on it as well as this Opinel Carbon with every day use Mike ( Game Keeper )

I've been using Opinel for 30 years and this is the most practical size of the Opinel range for general purpose. The carbon steel blade is far superior to the stainless variety, takes a far superior edge.
