The Marine Tuf-Cloth leaves a protective film that protects your knife steel against corrosion. A volatile ' carrier ' ensures dissemination of the protective layer. The end result is a non-greasy protective layer that does not attract dirt and provides a seamless protection against rust. It feels dry and does not have the slippery characteristic of silicone spray. It can be safely used on wood and plastic. That means no risk for your handle.

Ik gebruik deze doeken al vele jaren voor onderhoud van mijn messen. Deze blijven dan ook in topvorm, geen vettige aanslag zodat er geen vuil aan vasthecht. Top

Ik ben zeer te spreken over het effect van dit doekje. Je merkt dat er een coatinglaag achterblijft op je mes na licht wrijven, de prijs is zeker goed te doen en voor zover ik kan inschatten doet het precies wat het moet doen.

Wel een tip voor gebruikers: niet openen in je woonkamer, het doekje laat een nogal indringende geur achter. Doe het doekje ook in een ziplock zakje voor extra zekerheid, dan droogt het niet uit. Ik zou ook handschoenen aanraden, niet wegens irritatie maar gewoon om het feit dat handen wassen de geur er gewoon niet uit haalt.

Het ruikt heel strek en bijt een beetje in de handen. Handig als je eerst handschoenen aantrekt voordat je het doekje beetpakt. Na het inwrijven even laten drogen en al je koolstofstalen messen zijn schoon, ingesmeerd en beschermd. Persoonlijk gebruik ik alleen voor Higonokami messen en niet voor mijn Laguiole messen. Als je het overtollige 'vet' afneemt met een doekje, gaat het doekje ook lekker stinken. Sterk spul die Tuf-cloth.

Gibt perfekte Schutzschicht für Messerklingen und Handfeuer- bzw. Langwaffen.
