The **Bark River Ultra Lite Bushcrafter** is an ideal, lightweight bushcraft knife. The blade is thin, razor-sharp and precisely large enough. The handle feels comfortable in hand, it is what Bark River is known for. This knife was designed as a perfect backup knife alongside a larger bushcraft knife, or as a lightweight knife for shorter (day) trips.

The blade is made from CPM 3CV-steel. A tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. As such it won't break and will retain its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

The handle is made from coffee bag micarta. This beautifully coloured micarta has a linen-coffee bag base which has a deep, brown colour. The acid green liners, which are also made of micarta, provide a beautiful contrast. Despite its small size, the Ultra Lite Bushcrafter feels great in hand.

The Bark River Ultra-Lite Bushcrafter comes with a leather belt sheath. You can either carry it upright (belt width up to 5.5 cm) or diagonally (belt width up to 6.0 cm).

Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such, each knife is unique. When working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. Therefore, the knife you receive might be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
