The **Böker Barlow Prime Black Jute Micarta 112942** is a classic slipjoint. It's a real traditional, but with a tough look and feel. The handle of this Barlow is made from black burlap micarta, complemented by a nickel silver bolster. The whole looks industrial but also elegant.

The blade is made from O1 steel. Not stainless, but as they used to make it in the past. Even easier to sharpen razor-sharp, which is a great advantage. Carbon steel also forms a patina in time. It changes colour because of fruit acids and moisture. That is why a couple drops of oil once in a while will keep it in great shape. In true traditional style the blade was enhanced with a stunning droppoint shape.

You open this knife with two hands and when opened the slipjoint makes sure the knife doesn't close when you don't want it to. Please note: it doesn't completely lock the blade like a backlock!
