Böker Magnum Classic Hunter Slim Kids 01MB135 children's pocket knife

I wanted to like this knife. I bought it for my 8 year old son for his first knife. My first impression was that it looked OK, nice looking knife for my son. Firstly it's difficult to open, which I suppose is good for sade but not for ease of use. Secondly even I had trouble releasing the lock to close it. It's a shame but I guess I'll find him another. Fantastic service from Knives & Tools as always. I actually bought the knife along with a pathfinder canteen cookset, after being given a £50 gift voucher for writing a review for a previous purchase. I'll always buy from this company. A really nice knife BUT the release lock on the knife blade is far too strong which makes it nearly impossible to close, I have to press down with the blunt end of a pencil to close it

Nice little knife. Not having a point is perfect for a child knife. However the mechanisim to release the lock on the blade is really tough to push in. My 9 year old son cant do it on his own. Good knife but maybe more for a 12-15 year old first knife.
