The **Böker Manufaktur Mister Kutter Limited Edition 140204** is a top-quality straight razor. Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This *straight razor* is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany.

 This straight razor was designed by Emmanuel Renaud. In France he is known as the man behind the famous Mister Kutter barbershops. This straight razor was produced according to a modern design with a French tip and very broad blade.

 This straight razor has an *extra hollow grind* with a *ridge*. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The *ridge* ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.

 The handle is made from wedge-wood. This is a stunning, dark type of wood. The shape of the handle is relatively modern and fits the French point of the blade. On top of the blade, where the thumb is placed, fine ridges will give you extra grip. As such your hand won't slip while shaving.

 ## Solingen 1.2210 carbon steel

 Böker selected the famous Solingen carbon steel for this straight razor. Although the technical number 1.2210 might not mean that much to most, the term *Solingen* has an excellent reputation worldwide. You could even say that a part of Solingen's reputation as a knife city is the result of the excellent steel quality. After sharpening it is razor-sharp which leaves you with even softer and more comfortable results.
