The **Böker Griplock** is an incredibly innovative pocket knife, designed by Grant & Gavin Hawk. This father and son duo is known for their exceptional locks. The Griploc is an excellent example.


You open the Griploc with the thumb stud or flipper. Incredibly flexible, but perhaps at first glance not that special. The special aspect, however, can be found in the lock. Via an ingenious system with springs the lower part of the handle jumps forward. Because you hold the knife in your hand this parts stays in place. In turn it subsequently holds the blade. This also means that you can close the knife whenever you would like. In situations in which you really want to lock the blade you can find a little switch on the back of the handle you can use to secure the lock.


As a result the Böker Griploc is one of the most innovative pocket knives in our range. A real collector’s item. Opening and closing the Griploc is almost addictive and because of the transparent handles you can get a proper look at the lock.


Because of these extraordinary qualities you would almost forget that the knife is made to be used. The blade of AUS8 steel is perfectly fine for everyday use. The thumb studs serve as stop pin and support on both sides of the blade against the frame. As such the knife is stronger than its low weight might suggest.
