Nicht umsonst gilt dieses Messer, sowie seine Geschwister S1 und A1, als eines der besten feststehenden Messer am Markt. 
Daran können auch neue, zweifellos schnitthaltigere Stähle, nichts ändern. Der Kompromiss zwischen Schärfe, Schnitthaltigkeit und Nachschärfzeit ist perfekt! Wer je ein Pulverstahlmesser nachgeschärft hat weiss wovon ich rede. Aus diesem Grunde halte ich es auch für unssinig die pro Version zu kaufen, es sei denn man ist Sammler, denn hier gelten andere Gesichtspunkte. Für Bushcrafting ideal, Batoning kein Problem, Nahrungszubereitung ebenso. Mit dem DC4 Schleifstein und ein wenig Übung ist das Nachschärfen eine Sache von Minuten. Die größe ist ideal, ich habe meist ein kleines Fiskars Beil dabei, so daß der Mißbrauch des Messers in Grenzen bleibt. Die schwarze Beschichtung nutzt sich mit der Zeit ab und gibt dem Messer den von mir gemochten used Look. Ansonsten lieber zu dem mit blanker Klinge greifen. Zuguterletzt ist es auch noch 42a konform und darf somit auch ohne triftigen Grund geführt werden. Mir gefällt die Lederscheide sehr, ich werde aber bei der nächsten Bestellung die Plastikscheide nachbestellen, einfach weil ich sie haben will.
Fazit: 150% Kaufemfehlung

Quasi parfait; la bonne taille , une finition parfaite , un acier dont on ne pouvait que rêver il n'y a pas si longtemps. 
Touche finale , l'étui en cuir est de très bonne facture .
bref un produit sans faute. 

Fällkniven liefert mit dem F1 ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, Eden dazu eine schnelle Lieferung.
In meinen Augen reicht der VG10 Laminatstahl für alle Anwendungen. Das Messer ist leicht, sehr scharf ab Werk und für kleinere bis mittlere Handgrößen besonders geeignet.
