The **Fenix HL18RW head torch** is a combination of a well-thought out design and a top-quality finish. With a weight of 80 grams, rechargeable and a beam distance of 85 meters you are truly dealing with a unique head torch. The Fenix Hl18RW is the perfect choice when hiking or trail running.

 This rechargeable head torch works with the included 1300 mAh Li-Polymer battery. You can always easily recharge the light with the micro-USB cable. The Fenix HL18RW, however, also works with two AAA-ni/HM batteries. Very practical!

 The head torch has a focused light beam and a wide light beam. As such you will always light up the right area. The focused beam is perfect when discovering objects that are located far away, also when you are running. The wide beam, however, is great for spotting things up close. With this beam you also have a much wider range, up to 84 degrees.

 ## Difference between the Fenix HL18RW and the HL18R

 The Fenix HL18RW is similar to the Fenix HL18R. But what is the difference? There is only one main difference between the two: the colour of the light. The HL18R namely produces a nice warm white light, while the HL18RW produces a very cool white light.

 The light of the Hl18RW leaves you with a more energetic and active atmosphere. Perfect for when you are active at night. The HL18R creates a more relaxed, warm light. As such this is the perfect light when you need light close for a longer period of time.

 ## Fenix HL18RW: for all situations

 This head torch was designed for extreme environments. It is therefore completely protected against dust and can even withstand the roughest rain. Fenix also paid attention to the temperatures. The light will perfectly shine between -35 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees Celsius. Heavy rain showers or heat waves will definitely not hold the Fenix HL18RW back.

 The reflective headband ensures that people will also see you from behind. The design of the headband is hollow. This ensures that the material can breathe. Fenix took into account that you need to be safe, but also comfortable.

 ## Controls of the Fenix HL18RW

 The Fenix HL18RW is very easy to control. It is namely enhanced with only two switches. One for a focused light beam and one for a broader light beam. To turn the light on you press the desired switch down for about a second. The light will turn on in the lowest mode. To switch between the light modes you quickly press down the switch.

 ### Broad light beam of the Fenix HL18RW

 * Low: 4 lumens, burn time of approximately 150 hours
* High: 30 lumens, burn time of approximately 60 hours
* SOS: 30 lumens, burn time of approximately 120 hours

### Focused light beam of the Fenix HL18RW

 * Low: 30 lumens, burn time of approximately 70 hours
* Medium: 130 lumens, burn time of approximately 18 hours
* High: 500 lumens, burn time of approximately 9 hours*


*The burn time of the highest mode is calculated at the moment the lamp is switched on in the highest position. After 2-3 minutes, the lamp automatically switches to the lower light mode due to temperature regulation.


If you press down both switches about 5 seconds the light will blink twice. This is the confirmation that the light is in the so-called 'lock-out-mode'. As such the light will never accidentally turn on. Very practical! To use the light afterwards you press the switch down for approximately 5 seconds. As soon as the mode is deactivated the light will blink twice.

 ## Charging the Fenix HL18RW

 This head torch is enhanced with a charging indicator. When charging the light will clearly tell you when it is fully charged. All four LED lights will namely turn blue. But also when the light is off, you press one of the switches and the indicator immediately shows you the status of the battery. This only works in combination with the included Li-Ion battery.

 * Four LED lights: 100% - 80% power

* Two LED lights: 60% - 40% power
* One LED light: 40% - 20% power
* One LED light blinking: 20% - 0% power

  **Please note: before use you should remove the white strip in between de battery and the casing. Simply click open the back of the light and you can easily remove it. This is the transport lock.**
