Prachtige etui en perfect om je laguiole in goede conditie te houden

Perfecte houder voor een Laguiole mes. Soepel leer, stevige drukknoop die niet uit zichtzelf loslaat en wat ik erg fijn vindt; hij kan zowel verticaal als horizontaal aan je riem (ik draag 'm meestal horizontaal).
Het aanzetstaaltje zat me in de weg, dus die heb ik er uit gehaald. Scherp houden doe ik thuis wel ;)

Goed product, snelle levering. Enige minpuntje; hij was lastig te vinden op de site. Een aparte categorie met accesoires per type of merk mes zou handig zijn. Maar goed, zoeken op de site van knivesandtools (en daarbij verlekkeren over het aanbod) is geen straf :))

Foedraal besteld om mijn nieuwe Sperone mee te dragen aan de centuur. Ik moet zeggen dat het foedraal redelijk krap is maar na het foedraal gekneed te hebben met bijenwas is het een stuk soepeler geworden zodat het mes het foedraal nu na een tweetal weken in een bepaalde vorm gedwongen heeft waardoor het er goed in past. Desalniettemin zou Fonteninne Pataud er goed aan doen om bij de grotere messen het foedraal toe te spitsen op het ontwerp van het mes, net zoals bij de Fontenille Pataud sport wel het geval is. Het meegeleverde slijpstaal is een leuk detail maar absoluut niet praktisch bruikbaar maar het oog wilt ook wat zullen we maar zeggen, het past volkomen bij de nostalgische stijl van de messen.

Een mes van 100 gram is redelijk zwaar in je broekzak en met deze riemfoedraal heb je daar geen last van. Fijn dat je hem op twee manier kunt dragen. In het begin zit het mes erg strak maar hoe vaker je hem gebruikt hoe soepeler.
Het aanzetstaaltje had niet gehoeven, is van zeer zachte kwaliteit. Het mes hakt er in en wordt er alleen maar botter van. Jammer.
