This **Gerber Gator 06064** is a robust pocket knife with a drop point blade and a fine edge. Designed and produced in Portland, Oregon, USA. Like the reptile this pocket knife will perform regardless of the weather. Whether it is dry or wet. It is, after all, for a reason that the first Gator was awarded with the title ‘Most innovative knife of the year’ at the Blade Show in Georgia, USA in 1991. Decades later the Gator pocket knife is still convincing. This knife is definitely made to be used.


This Gator 06064 has a clip point blade with a partially serrated edge, made from 154CM steel. A stainless, sustainable type of steel that can also easily be sharpened. In addition, 154Cm steel retains its sharpness for quite a long time. You remove the 9 cm long blade from its handle with two hands because you cannot open it with one. Once opened the back lock firmly keeps the blade in place. Solid and reliable, ready for any task it awaits.


## Gerber Gator Grip


A strong grip is essential for this type of knife. For this reason all pocket knives and machetes from the Gator collection have been enhanced with a special handle with the patented Gator Grip. Made from glass-reinforced nylon, enhanced with a rubber surface that has the look and feel of an alligator skin to ensure a firm grip with optimal control. Whether you go out hunting, camping or fishing: this knife will never slip from your hands.


The Gerber Gator 06064 comes with a sturdy nylon sheath you can use to store the knife when you are not using it. It can also easily be attached to your belt to make sure you will always have it around.

+ Selbst als Laie kann ich feststellen, dass die Klinge schnittfester ist im Vergleich zum 440c
+ Subjektiv: An der Klinge fallen Fingerspuren kaum bis gar nicht an oder auf. Lässt sich zudem leicht reinigen.

* Messer wurde vorher bereits ausprobiert, Verpackung hat deutliche Gebrauchsspuren (Der Hersteller gibt 25 Jahre Garantie, da wird ein öffnen von Dritten wohl kaum den Wert mindern) 

Negativ
- Beschreibung der Tasche und die Tasche selbst sind äußert mager. Sie kann nicht quer getragen werden und macht keinen guten Eindruck vom Verschluss her. Gerade bei Messern mit ungewöhnlichen Formen ist es umso schwerer ein guten Ersatz zu finden, der leicht ist, quer getragen werden kann und zudem sauber abschließt. Fließt bei mir nicht in die Bewertung ein, kann aber dem Leser durchaus helfen. 

Was kann man besser machen?
Direkt beim Kauf ein oder zwei Alternativtaschen anbieten - bei denen man direkt weiß, dass diese passen.

Een bijzondermes:  mooi, elegant eneen beetje vreemd. Het lemmet is namelijk erg breed. Een zeer goede  slicer maar ook een zeer goede smeerder van  boterhammen.  Hij zit dis tussen een EDC en een survival in.  Een beetje van alles dus. Erg mooi maar maar wel een mes voor  een heldere visie bij aanschaft.
