The **Jack Wolf Gateway Barlow GW-BAR-01-ROSEWOOD** is the first 'budget' or entry-level model from Jack Wolf Knives. But that does not mean it is 'lesser-than' previous models! ## Gateway Barlow steel

Instead of the well-known S90V normally used by Jack Wolf, Sandvik 14c28n was chosen for the Gateway Barlow. It's a nicely balanced blade steel from Sweden that has already proven itself on the market. It is stainless, pretty tough and easy to sharpen. In addition, it retains its sharpness well. What more could you possibly ask for?

## Rosewood handle

This knife features a handle made from rosewood. Rosewood is an umbrella term for exotic hardwood. It's also known as palisander wood. Rosewood has a high shine and is also used for making luxury furniture, flooring, musical instruments and woodturnings. The wood has a strong, sweet scent that lasts for years, hence the name 'rosewood'. It's a beautiful type of wood with unique markings and a warm colour, giving this knife a traditional and luxurious look.
