The **Marttiini Diamond Sharpener Oval** allows you to sharpen harder types of steel such as carbon steel blades. The oval shape of this sharpening steel makes it easy to sharpen curved blades such as a scythe or a sickle. The sharpener is also great for kitchen knives.

The Marttiini Diamond Sharpener Oval has two types of surfaces with different grain sizes. One side has a grain size of 300 and the other a grain size of 600. This allows you to quickly sharpen your knife again. First, use the side with the 300 grit to get your dull blade sharp again. Use the side with 600 grit for the finishing touch. With diamond sharpeners, you quickly remove a lot of steel from the blade. As a result, you get quick results and a more 'biting' edge, but it will be a bit coarser than the result with a natural sharpening stone.

Use water while sharpening and dry after use. The sharpening steel has a groove along its length, which is great for sharpening fish hooks. The black handle has a fine texture on the surface which ensures you'll have a firm grip.
