The **Mcusta MC-191C Friction Folder** is a nice gentleman's knife. It can easily be opened with the front flipper, and a subtle slipjoint keeps the blade open. This means that the knife doesn't really have an actual lock. As such you can carry this knife almost everywhere in the world.

The blade is made from a core of hard VG10 steel, laminated in between two layers of soft steel. This gives you the benefits of the hardness of the core, combined with the flexibility of the laminated steel. Mcusta used pakka wood for the handle. A laminate of thin layers of wood that are impregnated with strong synthetic resin. As such it is very strong and stable. Perfect for a knife handle. Some layers have a different colour which makes the whole look even better.

This Mcusta comes in a traditional Japanese case. The weaving of this is truly stunning.

Très bon couteau "de table" que l'on peut emporter partout avec soi.

L'absence de verrouillage n'est pas problématique pour cet usage et la finesse de sa lame est un véritable atout tandis que la fabrication sandwich apporte un réel plus visuel sans tomber dans le bling bling d'un damas.

Tarif intéressant au regard de la bonne qualité des matériaux et de la qualité de réalisation.

Une grosse merde la lame n'était pas droite, eguisage zéro, coupé même pas un bout de papier à l'arrivée 
Impossible à reprendre le fil correctement à la pierre
Il m'a fait pété pété un plomb je l'ai défoncé !
La seule chose qu'il a sût faire c'est péter mon carrelage !

Je ziet niet vaak een friction folder. Ik heb ook de geel zwarte (iets beter contrast van kleuren). Bedienen is wel erg  prettig en gaat blindelings.  Het is wel een verslavende beweging die je maakt (soort fidget spinner maar dan anders).
 Overigens is het hele lemmet VG10; voor het afharden in de olie is er een dun laagje isolorende klei aan de rugzijde aangebracht. Dat betekent dat dit niet plotseling hard wordt zoals de snijkant maar langzaam afkoelt en zacht blijft. Je krijgt zo ook de hamon als scheiding tusssen zacht en hard staal.

Joli petit couteau sans blocage de lame, ce qui ne me manque pas. Aspect & fonctionnement "tradi", façon higonokami au Japon & couteaux piémontais chez nous, mais ce couteau ajoute une dose de modernisme & de douceur de fonctionnement dans ce monde de brutes. Le VG10 n'est plus le roi des métaux mais reste très performant en coupe & de plus facile à aiguiser. La lame ne tombe pas sous son poids : ce serait dangereux, mais elle se ferme sous une toute petite pression, de manière hydraulique, très agréable ! Je le trouve beau, c'est personnel. Je pense que le prix est justifié, je l'aurais préféré moins cher, comme tout ce qu'il faut payer ... C'est encore très personnel.

Excellente qualité de finition, tranchant rasoir, ouverture très fluide.
Le pakka wood contribue à l'aspect sophistiqué du couteau. Un bel objet.
