Blade made of CPM S45VN steel
The blade of this Medford TFF-1 is made of CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S45VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant. CPM S45VN was developed as a successor to CPM S35VN. S45VN retains its sharpness even better than S35VN, and is even more resistant to corrosion too.
