The **MKM Campo 7 Green Canvas Micarta** is a premium pocket knife, designed in the iconic style of Swiss pocket knives. And yet this knife is produced a little more south: in Maniago, Italy. It is made from amazing materials.

For many of these types of knives, the emphasis is placed on the different tools. The steel type is almost forgotten! When it comes to the Campo 7, MKM does it a bit differently. The tools are great, of course, but the blade stands out. The blade is made from MagnaCut steel. This is an extremely wear and tear resistant type of steel. It retains its sharpness very well, so you won't have to sharpen it that often. As a result, the MKM Campo 7 is a top-quality, high-end EDC pocket knife.

The handle also looks amazing. Often these types of knives are enhanced with a handle made from plastic or aluminium. But MKM decided to use stunning micarta for this handle. This is a composite material made from canvas and synthetic resin. It looks great and offers enough grip. But even better is the patina this micarta forms: because of the oil of your hands it can change colour a little. Each knife will become unique!

In addition to the MagnaCut blade there are six other foldable tools. A pair of scissors, a bottle opener with screwdriver, a can opener, a corkscrew, a crosshead screwdriver and a fork for picnics. All tools can be opened with two hands. They are kept in place by slipjoints. Not a real lock, merely some resistance. As such, the MKM Campo 7 is legal in many countries.

## What are the origins of MKM Knives?

MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. Four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city of Maniago in northern Italy. It is the knife capital of the south of Europe. MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers. This MKM Campo 7 is made by Mercury.

Enttäuschend! Die Klinge verschliffen, lockere Schrauben, lockere Werkzeuge, Schrauben ohne Schraubensicherung, eine viel zu dünne Gabel und viel zu starke Federn. Bei dem Preis erwartet man sich eigentlich top Qualität. Die Klinge hat zudem im geschlossenen Zustand einen Überstand, sodass die Klingenspitze in der Hosentasche beim Herausziehen hängen bleibt.
