This **Opinel Trekking No. 8** stainless steel pocket knife was designed by Opinel for trekkers, campers and hikers. This pocket knife is 19.3 cm long and weighs only 50 grams. It is, for instance, perfect when peeling an apple or making a sandwich. A true all-rounder you want to keep close! The knife is also enhanced with a leather strap at the back to make sure you can attach your knife to something,

 The knife has a Virobloc lock, also called a ring lock. In the case of a Virobloc the hinges of the blade are firmly locked by the ring. This type of lockings system is controlled with two hands to make sure your fingers won't get anywhere near the cutting surface. The ring is also used to block the knife when closed. With a drop of oil you can make sure the ring will keep turning smoothly.

 This Opinel Trekking No. 08 comes with a beautiful leather belt sheath with a maximum belt width of 7.0 cm.

L'Opinel N°8 est, à mon humble avis, le parfait couteau à tout faire.
Le manche est suffisamment grand pour l'avoir bien en main et la longueur de la lame est parfaite pour tout couper.
Pour ce qui concerne ce modèle, il n'a de Baroudeur que le nom car, à part la petite lanière fixée au bout du manche et la couleur rouge, c'est la reproduction exacte de l'Opinel N°8 classique.
Cela  étant, il complète bien ma collection de couteaux Opinel, raison qui m'a poussé à l'acheter.
