The **Rough Ryder Large Moose** is a cool, traditional pocket knife. Slim and light-weight, perfect for daily use. This model is enhanced with a clippoint blade and a skinner blade. You open both with two hands and a slipjoint prevents unintentional closing, even though it won't completely lock the blades. As such you can legally carry this pocket knife in many places in Europe.

## 440A steel

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Buckshot Bone handle

The handle is made from 'Jigged Bone'. This is basically cow bone that is enhanced with an interesting texture and colour. Bone, of course, is a natural material. As such small differences in terms of colour and shape, or any other small imperfections may occur. In this case the texture is a 'buckshot'. . When you look at the pattern on the handle you know why.

Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. Of course this means you sometimes need to compromise which means that occasionally you could find there to be something wrong with the finish. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.
