With the **Spyderco PITS Folder C192TIPM390 Sprint Run 2022**, Spyderco has revived a familiar face. The PITS (Pie in the Sky) Folder, originally launched in 2015, is the result of a collaboration with British knife maker Mike Read. 

The PITS has a distinctive, integral slipjoint mechanism in the spine of the handle. The titanium scales are optimally utilized for this. They come together to form the spring of the slipjoint mechanism that exerts pressure on the blade. What actually makes contact with the blade is a steel pin between the two titanium “arms” of the scales. This is because steel on steel wears much less quickly than steel on titanium. A handy extra: when you hold the knife firmly, you press the slipjoint mechanism with the palm of your hand. This means that the blade can't fold in, so it can almost be called a full-fledged lock. However: it is and remains a slipjoint mechanism. This means you can legally carry the knife in many parts of Europe.

The blade of this Sprint Run is made from premium Böhler M390 steel. This type of steel has excellent sharpness retention. Everything has been given a stonewashed finish that hides scratches well. The PITS Folder is equipped with Spyderco's well-known wire clip that allows you to carry the knife deep in your pocket.
