The Steel Will Druid 265 is an all-round fixed camping knife. The blade is made of 9Cr18MoV steel. This type of steel looks a lot like 440C and AUS10. The steel runs through the entire handle for added strength. A small piece of this steel comes out at the back of the handle which is suitable to be used as a hammer. By the slight forward curve the knife is also suitable for lighter work. The handle of thermoplastic elastomer comes with grooves for extra grip. The Druid 265 comes with a leather belt sheath.

Liegt extrem gut in der Hand, ist angenehm leicht aber macht dennoch einen stabilen Eindruck! Die Griffschalen sind anscheinend leicht gummiert, super in der Handhabung! Schliff out of the box ist gut. Scheide ist auch in Ordnung! Top Qualität für den Preis! Schriftzüge auf der Klinge sind super klar und lassen das Messer noch hochwertiger erscheinen.

Ik had heel positieve reviews gezien en gelezen over de messen van het Amerikaanse 'Steel Will', en die blijken te kloppen. De Druid 265 is een zeer handzaam en capabel mes. Het TPE-handvat is lekker ruim en blijft ook met glibberige handen grippy, en het lemmet van het Chinese staal is na allerlei batonning en snijwerk nog net zo scherp als toen het nog ongebruikt was. (No chipping or rolling.)
Ik had eigenlijk de iets kortere Druid 225 besteld, maar die bleek momenteel niet leverbaar. En ik heb er geen spijt van dat ik uiteindelijk voor de Druid 265 heb gekozen. Het lemmet heeft een meer uitgesproken drop-point dan de 225, en dat is prettig om mee te snijden en te ontweiden. Bovendien is de guard bovenop breed en afgeplat, zodat je een heel stabiel oppervlak hebt om je vingers veilig voor op het lemmet te zetten.
Wat een kwaliteit voor die prijs! Absolute aanrader.
