The **The James Brand The Duval Damascus KN109111-00** is a fancy and modern gentleman's knife. For this knife the people behind the James Brand became inspired by the rich history of the Traditionals. The classic pocket knives your grandfather used to carry. You, however, open these knives with two hands and do not contain a lock. Both aspects were 'solved' for the Duval.



You namely quickly open the Duval with the front flipper. This might take some getting used to at first. Once you get used to it, however, you can open the knife as easy as with any other conventional flipper. The advantage of the front flipper is that the 'flipper tab' does not protrude at the side of the handle.



The materials used were also updated. The blade is made from Damasteel. A premium Damasteel from Sweden. By combining two top-quality powder types of steel this steel retains its sharpness well.



The scales are made from titanium. A light-weight material that is also used in the aviation industry. Titanium is really tough. As such it is perfect for a framelock that is meant to bend thousands of times when opening and closing the knife.
