This **Wüsthof Performer Santoku with dimples 17 cm** is a real all-rounder in the kitchen. The Santoku is the Japanese chef's knife, named after the three tasks in the kitchen: slicing, dicing and chopping. A santoku is perfect when preparing meat, fish and vegetables. Because the blade is enhanced with dimples little air bubbles emerge. This prevents the food from sticking to the blade.


## Diamond-Like-Carbon-coating


 Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method. These knives, however, are completely black, with a non-reflective black DLC coating on the blade. DLC-coating stands for Diamond-Like-Carbon-coating. A carbon structure that is used in the aviation industry. So extremely strong. The result is a blade that is well protected against scratches and acids. And, it is also amazing to look at!


## Non-slip handle


 The handle is made from polyamide and is for 15% reinforced with fibreglass to make sure the material doesn't wear out. In addition, the non-slip honeycomb structure of the Hexagon Power Grip guarantees extreme control. An advantage for the user: even under hectic, wet or difficult working circumstances you will have enough grip over the knife. This knife won't easily slip from your hands.
