The **Buck 112 Ranger** is a smaller version of the Buck 110. The construction is the same as its big brother. A first-class blade made from 420HC steel that retains its sharpness well, and a handle made from thick brass enhanced with stabilized wood inlays.

Enthusiasts know that Buck works closely with Paul Bos for the heat treatment of the blades. He is an absolute master when it comes to hardening steel. He knows how to make the most of a specific type of steel and to make sure the 420HC steel will live up to its full potential.

Ik heb veel moderne messen maar toch kom ik steeds terug naar dit mes super kwaliteit en blijft lang scherp 

Perfect zoals verwacht, ik miste op de beschrijving wat de dikte van de handgreep, maar dat staat zo goed als nergens bij

Da ich ein ähnliches Messer bereits in einer größeren Ausführung besitzte (ähnelich dem Buck 110), habe ich mir das Buck 112 als transportablere Alternative geholt. Es hat zwar immer noch sein Gewicht, aber alle anderen Punkte sind nur positiv hervorzuheben: Aussehen, Verarbeitung, Schärfe, Qualität der Ledertasche - TOP! 
Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. 

Il Buck 112 e' una leggenda, dopo oltre 50 anni, ancora fa scuola di design. Nella mano e' uno dei coltelli piu' comodi che esistono. 
Il disegno della lama lo rende comodo un po' per tutto, non e' un coltello specifico. Arriva super affilato, acciaio al carbonio durissimo, non e' un materiale nobile, ma e' facile da mantenere e piu' che sufficiente per la maggior parte delle applicazioni.
E' un coltello molto pesante per le dimensioni, e' fatto di ottone. Questo puo' essere un lato negativo che lo preclude da alcune situazioni.
E' fatto a mano negli USA, quindi non e' esteticamente perfetto, ma non e' neanche freddo come un coltello cinese fatto a controllo numerico.
