The **Fox Knives Vulpis** is a non-Swiss, Swiss pocket knife with a modern twist. The Vulpis is compact and equipped with a lanyard hole. Opening the tools is very easy with the nail nick. Because the nail nick goes all the way through the tool, you can open the blade properly from both the left side and the right side.




You open the Fox with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Blade made from Böhler M390 steel
The blade of the FOX Vulpis FX-VP130TI, M390, Sandblasted Titanium, pocket knife is made of Böhler M390. This is premium steel from Austria that is immensely popular for pocket knives, because M390 stays sharp for an incredibly long time. Moreover, it's very stainless. This makes it an excellent choice for a pocket knife you carry with you every day. Because M390 is incredibly hard, we recommend sharpening this pocket knife with diamond sharpening stones or ceramic sharpening stones, or a sharpening system that uses these sharpening stones.



The blade has been polished, this is a premium blade finish that leaves no room for error. A polished blade ensures minimal friction while cutting, making the knife cut like a dream.



## Titanium handle

The handle of this Fox  is made of titanium and measures 7.4 cm in length. Titanium is a fantastic high-tech material. It is an excellent choice for the handle of a pocket knife for several reasons: titanium is very strong, lightweight and it is flexible. Moreover, titanium can be machined very precisely and a wide range of different finishes are possible. To be exact, the handle is made of a titanium alloy. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium are added to pure titanium to make it even more suitable for use as a pocket knife handle.

Die Qualität ist ausgezeichnet, und der verwendete Kaltarbeitsstahl gehört zu den besten, die man für ein Messer einsetzen kann. The knife doesn't come very sharp. But after sharpening it at a 15° angle to each side, it became spectacular. I rubbed frozen meat against the granite; the knife hit the granite and remained sharp without any sign of losing its edge. The handle is very soft; it's not the most comfortable, but for this size, it's perfect.
