With the **Light My Fire FireSteel Bio Scout** in the colour cocoshell you can easily and quickly start a fire. You move the metal strip or knife alongside the magnesium rod and a rain of sparks of 3000 degrees Celsius will ignite decayed wood powder or cotton wool. You can of course also use this FireSteel Bio Scout to light a gas torch or BBQ. And compared to matches or a lighter it won't be stopped by water.

 This lighter version can be used approximately 3000 times. The scraper is enhanced with an emergency whistle.

 The Light My Fire Bio-collection contains parts that are made from bio-based plastic. This material is obtained from biological raw materials and is bio-degradable. As such Light My Fire is environmentally conscious, reduces the ecological impact and stimulates the use of CO2 neutral materials.

 For the 'coconut shell waste'-edition the handles are made from the recycled bark of a coconut. In addition to the ecological advantage it also feels less smooth than the plastic version. And, of course, it also simply just looks great.

Bij trektochten is warm eten erg belangrijk. Iets aan kunnen steken (vuurtje, brandertje) is daarom essentieel. Natuurlijk is een aansteker makkelijker en dat is dan ook mijn eerste wijze om vuur te maken. Maar het is goed om nog een methode extra mee te nemen om iets aan te steken. Dit type is niet zwaar, redelijk milieu-verantwoord, niet zo duur en makkelijk in gebruik. Deze hoefde ik dan ook niet over na te denken! Mooi kleurtje ook.
