Roof prism binoculars
Looking for a good pair of roof prism binoculars? Find them here at Knivesandtools. We have binoculars with both types of prisms, both roof prism and porro binoculars. The main advantage of roof prism binoculars is that they are more compact. As a result, they are easy to take with you on hikes. Binocular size is no longer a prerequisite for quality. These days, even small binoculars have a sharp, stable and clear image.
What are roof prism binoculars?
There are two types of binoculars. Roof prism binoculars and porro binoculars. When you look through a pair of binoculars, the image is flipped in the front. The prism corrects this, making the image the right way up again. With roof prism binoculars, the objective lenses and prisms are located right in front of each other. With porro binoculars, these are at an angle. As such, roof prism binoculars are more compact than porro binoculars.
