From the Enyo to the Willow
The idea for the Willow didn’t come from the US, but from Europe. The compact Enyo knife from Spartan Blades has quietly grown into a favorite here over the past few years. Small in size, easy to carry and surprisingly versatile in use. That success called for a successor with just a bit more refinement and style, without compromising the practical functionality Spartan Blades is known for.
A collaboration with Euro Blade Worx
From the very first sketches it was clear that the Willow had to carry a European character. The original hand-drawn designs laid the foundation: a slim, purposeful knife with flowing lines and excellent geometry. For actual production, Spartan Blades teamed up with Euro Blade Worx (EBX) in the Czech Republic.
Who are Euro Blade Worx?
Euro Blade Worx is a young but ambitious player in the European knife scene. From a brand-new factory in South Moravia, equipped with the latest machinery, Ondřej Němec (co-founder of ANV Knives) leads the creation of knives that embody quality and precision. Everything happens within Europe, from production to distribution. That means short supply chains, no delays and no unnecessary transport. Whether tactical knives, EDC models or outdoor tools – at EBX, design and craftsmanship always come first. No wonder they call themselves The Edge Collective.
Spartan Blades Willow Elmax Steel
During the Willow’s development, every detail was closely monitored by Ondřej. The result is a blade made from premium European ELMAX steel, hardened to 60 HRC. This gives the Willow excellent cutting performance combined with the durability you’d expect from a tactically inspired knife. Even the Kydex sheath is made in-house to ensure the knife sits as securely in the sheath as it does in your hand.
The Willow is more than just a new model: it is Spartan Blades’ first fully European-made collaboration. Compact, subtle, yet strong enough to carry every day. A fixed blade that is not only a practical tool, but also tells a story of collaboration, craftsmanship, and the bridge between tactical knives and modern EDC culture.
