## Replacing the saw blade


Replacing the saw blade is easy, you don't need any extra tools for that. This is what you need to do:


* 1. Remove the c-clip with a solid, flat tool like a ruler.

* 2. Push the pin from the frame and remove the saw blade.

* 3. Place your new saw blade in the frame and push back the pin from the outside.

* 4. Use a flat object to secure the c-clip.

* 5. Repeat these instructions for the other side of the saw.





## Maintaining your saw blade


Regularly maintain your axe with the help of some maintenance oil to prevent rust and to maintain the function of the axe. Use Ballistol maintenance oil, for instance. You can use use [Ballistol spray](/en/pt/-ballistol-maintenance-oil-spray-200-ml.htm) a [Ballistol marker](/en/pt/-ballistol-maintenance-oil-pen-15-ml.htm) or simply a [small 50 ml bottle](/en/pt/-ballistol-maintenance-oil-50-ml.htm). Better safe than sorry! Tip: with this oil you can also easily remove resin, to make sure your saw blade stays in great shape.
