Blade: Is burly, rugged, reliable. I haven't tested it in car door, but hard wood, heavy duty plastic, even on a fence wire, no issues. It's a hollow grind, but not in the least it affected the performance of the knife at all. The tip of the knife is acute and pointy, but not too thin. Sharpness was great right out of the box, but a few passes on a fine stone followed by a strop really made it pop (shaving quality). Clean after use and apply mineral oil or blade oil (I've bought one here, spot on for the job. ) Handle: I have L size gloves and the handle is very comfy and secure in the hand. When I close my fist, it's perfect fit. Kraton material for handle is rubbery feel sticky, so if your hands get wet, it won't slip. Sheath: So, it's next level. Strong, though, holds knife extremely well. Better than on some more expensive knives. I've used it with MOLLE attachments to the vest, the retention and grip of sheath is fantastic, and ability to lash the sheath into different positions is a plus.
