The machete is made from 1075 carbon steel. A incredibly fracture-resistant steel that can handle the heavy-duty tasks the knife will most likely have to endure. With 1075 carbon steel, you always have to watch out for rust. Salts, acids and moisture will undoubtedly lead to corrosion. Always clean the blade after use, and occasionally apply a couple of drops of oil. You can truly enjoy this machete for years to come!

## Condor Country Backroads Knife handle

The handle is made from burnt American Hickory wood and Welted Leather. These are stacked leather discs which combine to form one comfortable handle. The steel runs throughout the entire handle. A so-called hidden tang. Even though the steel runs all the way through the handle, your skin will not come into contact with cold steel. As a result, the handle is both sturdy and comfortable.

Excellent couteau pour l’outdoor. La prise en main est très bonne grâce au manche ni-matière bois et cuir qui offre un grip excellent. La lame est très polyvalente, son émouture convexe lui procure un tranchant redoutable. Très robuste, le bâtonnage et la coupe à la volée ne lui font pas peur. L’étui est fonctionnel, seul bémol le cuir est très sec. Il convient de le graisser abondamment. Perso j’ai utilisé de l’huile de pied de bœuf. 
En bref, un super couteau de terrain qui n’a rien à envier à certains couteaux de très grandes marques qui coûtent 3 fois plus cher. Il est robuste et le tranchant dure étonnement. Et il est facile à affûter!
Je recommande ce couteau très bien conçu. 

C'est une belle pièce d'une bonne qualité qui se voit dessuite. Par contre je le trouve trop encombrant pour mon usage. Je l'ai donc renvoyé. C'est un couteau imposant pour un usage bushcraft et je ne me rendais pas compte de sa grande taille au moment de l'acheter.
