The **CRKT Minimalist Drop Point 154CM 2384K Black Canvas Micarta** is an ergonomic fixed knife, designed by Alan Folts. The Minimalist Drop Point has been on the market for quite some time. First introduced around the early 2000s, it has since gained popularity among outdoor sports enthusiasts and collectors for its compact size, versatile design and affordability. This version of the Minimalist is a 2024 upgraded version with 154CM steel and a Black Canvas Micarta handle.

## CRKT Minimalist Drop Point 154CM handle

When you look at the Minimalist you'll immediately notice the handle. The finger grooves provide a comfortable three-finger grip. Your little finger rests on the lanyard to make sure you can control the Minimalist with your entire hand. There is *jimping* for your thumb on the spine of the blade. These are small grip serrations that give you more control. Not only does the Black Canvas Micarta handle look amazing, it also offers a great grip regardless of any rain.

## CRKT Minimalist Drop Point 154CM blade

The blade is made from 154CM steel. This is a good stainless steel with great sharpness retention. 154CM is also easy to sharpen. The blade has a hollow grind, so the Minimalist cuts like a dream. The blade is not that long, but thanks to the excellent ergonomics, it can be used in many ways, from opening boxes to light outdoor tasks. It's a great neck knife to carry with you on a daily basis. 

## CRKT Minimalist Drop Point 154CM sheath

This version comes with a nice leather sheath with belt loop, unlike the plastic sheath with neck cord included with most Minimalists. With this sheath you can carry this knife on your belt or your backpack. At the end of the sheath is a lanyard eye. It offers you the option of hanging the Minimalist around your neck with a cord or chain. The knife is kept inside the sheath with a leather loop with press stud.
