The **CRKT Pilar III D2 Black 5317B** is a nice and solid pocket knife, designed by Jesper Voxnaes. You'll immediately recognize his hand in this design. The sleek lines that are typical for Danish design, the elongated thumb hole, the finger groove: all typical Vox-design. A stunning pocket knife for daily use. Small enough to not stand out but capable enough for heavy-duty use.

This Pilar III is the elongated version of the normal Pilar. Thanks to the large finger groove, you will still have enough grip with your entire hand. Your thumb will automatically slide towards the spine of the blade. You will be able to apply a lot of pressure with this blade. The rock-solid famelock keeps the blade in place. It is remarkable how this knife can feel so great in hand in many different ways. A characteristic of an amazing design.

## G10 scale

G10 is a strong composite material made from glass fibre and epoxy resin, it offers excellent durability and a great grip. It is resistant to general wear and tear, warping and other tough conditions, making it ideal for outdoor and tactical knives.

## D2 steel for excellent sharpness retention

D2 steel is known for its exceptional toughness and wear resistance, making it perfect for knives and tools that need to retain their sharpness for a long time. However, this steel is not very corrosion resistant. This can be easily solved with a bit of oil, though!
