The ESEE Model 6 is a solid survival knife with a blade made from 1095 carbon steel. The extremely sustainable powder coating on the blade protects it from the increased corrosion sensitivity of the carbon steel. The wonderful usage qualities of the steel guarantee a lifetime of pleasure. The full tang blade is enhanced with a micarta handle. The handle feels slightly coarse which is great for grip and comfort. The ESEE Model 6 is a large and solid knife that can withstand extremely heavy use. The model 6 weighs 335 grams. That is quite heavy for a knife. But if you don't mind the weight you know you will be left with an incredibly solid knife.

I wanted a large bushcraft knife and my researches led me to the ESEE 6. I was pleased to see Knives and Tools offered this model at a much lower price than competitors, so ordered one. It came within 48 hours, excellent service. The knife far exceeds my expectations. It is heavy enough to chop wood and balanced enough to carve. It was razor-sharp out of the box and remained so after some hard testing. The handle fits my large hand beautifully and the whole thing hangs comfortably in the fitted sheath. A top-quality large knife at an excellent price!
