The **Fox Knives Jupiter FX-555-TIBL** is an innovative EDC pocket knife, designed with a new type of opening/locking mechanism. The unique feature of this knife is its Jupiter opening, which is comparable to a thumb stud except it's located in the handle. To improve safety even more, there's a little slide to lock the blade in place.  

## Blade made from Hakkapella M390 steel 
This is a popular, premium type of steel. It's commonly used for more expensive knives and limited editions. It's one of the best types of steel at the moment as it retains its sharpness for a long time and is nicely corrosion resistant. The hardness of this steel might be a bit harder to sharpen, which is why we recommend diamond-coated sharpening stones, for example from Wicked Edge or WorkSharp. Fortunately, once the blade has a sharp edge, it will remain sharp for an incredibly long time. The structure of the steel is very fine and very clean, making it easy to polish to a beautiful shine. Like other Böhler steel types, M390 is very popular with Italian knife makers. 

## Titanium handle with blue titanium inlay 
The handle is made from titanium with a black PVD coating. Titanium is a premium, lightweight material that is very strong. It doesn't rust, and it's very wear resistant. The inlays are made from blue-anodised titanium.
