This **Il Cucinino cutting board** is a professional cutting board made from light beech wood. It doesn't contain any slots, handles or other frills. You simply end up with 100% cutting board. The cutting board is 40 cm wide, 28 cm long and 2.5 cm high.

The Il Cucinino cutting boards are popular amongst amateur and professional chefs. The beech wood ensures that you can safely use the board for a very long time. The wood is soft enough to not affect the sharpness of the knife, but hard enough to not leave you with deep scratches.

## Cleaning the cutting board
To make sure your board stays in great shape maintenance is key! Fortunately, this isn’t as time consuming as you might think. Clean the board after use by rinsing it off under the tap. Afterwards dry it properly. Never put the board in the dishwasher! Place it upright (or hang it) to make sure it dries properly.

## Adding oil to your board
A wooden cutting board needs to be maintained. To make sure it stays in great shape, we recommend adding oil to both sides of the board. It makes cleaning the board easier, the wood won’t dry out and it also makes sure scratches are less visible. When adding oil to a cutting board it is best if you use a flavourless and odourless oil. Almond or grapeseed oil, for instance. (Please note: we don’t recommend using almond oil if you are allergic to nuts). Do not use olive oil because it gets sticky and dirty. Something you wish to avoid, of course. You need to add oil to your board approx. once a month. Board has started warping at the edges after three washes. It no longer balances flat after a few weeks daily use. Sturdy piece of wood but disappointed with these aspects. 

Mooie kwaliteit snijplank en snel geleverd.  Zeker de prijs-/kwaliteit verhouding is erg goed. Ik heb hem nog niet zo lang in gebruik,  maar snijdt uitstekend en blijft mooi. Ik ben er erg blij mee!
