The **Kizer Vanguard Catshark Black Micarta V2561N2** is a unique Kizer pocket knife. Designed by Azo and Yue. The Catshark is small but enhanced with many genius and functional details. The result of two experienced designers who joined forces.



First: the blade The blade is made from N690 steel. This is a stainless type of super steel from Austria. It retains its sharpness well and is tough. A great type of steel for EDC use. Sound great right? That is not all. The blade is also a bottle opener! Kizer enhanced the handle with a cut-out. As such, when closed, the front flipper opening mechanism protrudes a little from the whole. You hook the front flipper hook underneath the edge of the cap. You use the rest of the handle as a lever. Before you know it you will be holding a cold, opened drink. The blade won't lock when opened. A *detent-lock*,however, will ensure it stays in place. This mechanism works like a slipjoint. As such you can legally carry this knife almost anywhere. Do you prefer a full lock? In the round cut-out you can place the included rod when the knife is opened. As such you make sure the knife won't accidentally close.



The handle is also remarkable. The scale is made from black micarta with a decorative G10 ring around the pivot. The scale with the lockings mechanism is made from sandblasted titanium. This scale sticks out a little and is bevelled which means you can also use it as a pry bar (for lighter tasks). The handle also contains a lanyard-hole, a HEX key and a *deep-carry* pocket clip. Both the blade and the titanium are enhanced with a tough black coating. In short: the Catshark is a unique and multi-functional pocket knife. A valuable addition to your EDC!
