When the product arrived the lid fit loosely on the casserole, and didn't form a seal. I have one of these already where the lid fits perfectly. The company said that all their stock was like this, so I returned it for a refund. I don't expect Le Creuset products to be badly made - I don't know if it was a faulty batch (they were being sold a lot cheaper than other companies). Communication from the company was very good on the matter.
