The **LionSteel SR11** is a large and tough pocket knife. As the name already suggests the SR11 is related to the LionSteel SR1. This pocket knife won an award for the *Most Innovative Imported Design* at the 2010 Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The main reason for winning was the application of an integral frame in a production knife. The LionSteel SR11 is a logical follow up to this great success.



 The *LionSteel SR11* has a handle that is made from a large block of aluminium. As such the knife is extremely strong. The blade of the LionSteel SR11 is made from Sleipner-steel. This Austrian tool steel offers amazing sharpness retention, combined with considerable toughness. The result, however, is that the knife isn't as corrosion resistant. Just clean it after use and add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape.



You open the LionSteel SR11 with the flipper. Here you notice the difference between the SR11 and the SR1. Thanks to the flipper the blade shoots out of the handle. It is the result of the IKBS-ball bearings that are placed around the pivot. An achievement for an integral frame like this.



To guarantee a very long lifespan the framelock is enhanced with a steel insert. As such wear and tear in the very long run is minimized. For additional security when opened, you will find a RotoBlock button on the side. With this you secure the lock so well, it is almost like a fixed knife.



On the back of the handle you find a glass breaker made from tungsten carbide. This can save you in case of an emergency. At the bottom of the box you find a key you can use to switch the pocket clip from right-handed to left-handed use.



With the LionSteel SR11, this Italian top brand shows why they are such a great pocket knife producer. One of the most impressive European pocket knives for a very reasonable price.
