With the Live Fire Gear Firecord making a fire will be a piece of cake. This is the famous American 550 paracord as most people know it. However, in addition to the seven nylon strands a waterproof wick has been added to the whole. The wick might remind you of a wick you often see on every type of candle, only slightly thicker. In case of an emergency you can pull the wick out to create a fire.

Before use it is best if you use your knife or the striker of the firesteel to squash or roughly scrape the red wick. As such it will ignite better because you remove some of the waterproof wax layer. Combine the wick with some small branches or tinder to make sure you can quickly light your fire.
