The **Medford Midi Marauder** is a cool and robust pocket knife with a look and feel completely its own. Striking is the thickness of the blade in combination with the thickness of the handle. They both have the same thickness. As such the Midi Marauder looks incredibly decent. Unique about this Midi Marauder is the blue anodized finish on the handle, enhanced with a texture.

The blade is made from D2 and finished with Medford's famous *vulcan finish*. This is basically the state of the knife immediately after the heat treatment, without any sharpening. The hollow grind on the blade was applied by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. With the thumb slot you can easily open the blade. At first this might take some getting used to. When opened a solid framelock keeps the blade in place. Medford pressed the stop-pin in the blade. As a result it symmetrically leans against the handle. This adds strength.

D2 is a tool steel that will always require maintenance and oil. Some budget knives use D2 as a cheap option with a rudimentary heat treatment. Medford, however, does whatever it can to turn D2 into an amazing type of steel with excellent qualities. So definitely not a budget option!

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. All blades are given a hollow grind that is applied by hand. It takes approximately one year for Medford to ship their knives. Knives that are available on our website are in stock and can immediately be shipped. Be there in time: it might take a while for new stock to arrive!
